Essay, Understanding Place through Art and Ecology for University of Georgia College of Environment and Design’s book, Place+Meaning+Experience. This is a brief homage to the renowned field course created and taught by my good friend Darrel Morrison, which I co-taught with him for four years.
Table of Native Wisconsin Trees, plus accompanying notes. A guide for selecting native trees – just one way to look at trees and their niche in a native plant community. The table organizes trees by species, hydric preferences, taxonomy with an organization and references for prevalence and communities. The table does not document many aspects that also should be a consideration including growth form, affiliated species, phenology, soil preferences, and others.
